It's that time of year again! Time for the Nix Family Racing League!
Concept
Pick two drivers for each points race. You receive the same points they get for the race, including bonus points for segment finishes. Playoff points, however, will not be awarded. Whoever accumulates the most points over the 36 race season wins the championship and ultimate bragging rights.
Rules
1. Pick two (2) drivers for each race. One (1) from Group A (The 15 drivers that competed in last year's Playoffs) and one (1) from Group B (All other drivers).
You can only choose a driver a maximum of three (3) times during the season, so choose carefully.
2. A Deadline to submit picks will be given for each week. Picks must be submitted before the deadline to be accepted without penalty. You can change these picks any number of times before the deadline with no penalty. Picks will still be accepted after the deadline up until the drop of the green flag, however, you will only receive half points for each late pick.
You may change your picks anytime between the deadline and the drop of the green flag, but doing so will incur the same penalty as a late pick. There are 2 exceptions to this rule:
A. If your driver becomes ill or injured after the deadline and cannot compete in the race, you can either change drivers without penalty OR take the replacement driver without it counting toward your total # of picks for either driver.
B. If your driver is suspended by either NASCAR or their team you can either take the replacement driver, but the pick will still count toward your season total OR change your pick and incur the half point penalty.
3. The Double Header rule returns for any double header weekends (Currently Pocono is the only scheduled Double Header). For these races you have a couple of options. You can pick one (1) A driver and one (1) B driver for the entire weekend and it will only count toward as one (1) pick toward your season allotment (2 races for 1 pick) OR you can change drivers after the first race and it will work just like any other week.
4. If you pick a driver who does not receive points in the NASCAR Cup Series (i.e. Austin Cindric, Noah Gragson, A.J. Allmendinger, etc.) you will receive the points that they would have received if they were points eligible.
5. The Competition Committee reserves the right to add any number of Bonus Rounds which will give you the opportunity to earn more points. Picks in the Bonus Rounds will not count toward you season limit on driver picks.
6. Picks can be submitted through the Racebook fan page on Facebook or any other way you can get in touch with the Commissioner.
Groups
*These are known Full-Time drivers in 2021. You may also pick any part-time driver as you so choose, Beware, if you pick a part-time driver and that driver does not participate in the race, that pick will still count toward your season limit.
